Rupee opens at 54.77 per dollar

The Indian rupee opened at 54.77 per dollar versus 54.83 yesterday.

Ssharad D Pawaar, SPFX India said, "The rupee is expected to gain moderately as the dollar continues to weaken against most of the major currencies. However, the gains may be restricted with the rise in crude prices and mixed equity market cues. The range for the day is seen between 54.50-54.90/USD."
