Rupee opens lower at 54.98 per US dollar today

The Indian rupee has opened at 54.98 against the US dollar, down by 13 paise compared to previous day's closing value of 54.85 per dollar.

Independent Analyst, Vikram Nanivadekar feels that 55/USD seems to be at risk due to the prevailing momentum against the rupee and mixed global market cues. "The range for the day is seen between 54.60-55.10/USD," he adds.
