RBI may pause; bond yields to trend downwards: IDBI Bank

RBI will watch inflation for next two months before taking decision on rates, NS Venkatesh of IDBI Bank said.

In an interview to CNBC-TV18, NS Venkatesh of IDBI Bank shared his reading on the bond market and expectations from the Reserve bank of India's (RBI) monetary policy on August 5.

Given the RBI policy event-risk, one shouldn't expect bond yields to rally today. For now, the yield may trend downside, he said.

Venkatesh expects the central bank to maintain a status quo on Tuesday .
